Do you accept insurance?

Yes, some of our providers are in-network with specific insurance companies, such as Excellus BlueCross BlueShield, United Healthcare, Aetna and others. Please see the bottom of each provider’s profile to see what insurances they are in-network with.

Are you accepted as an out-of-network provider by my insurance?

Most insurance companies reimburse for out-of-network counseling services that we provide. You can call your insurance company’s customer service number to find out specifically how much they will cover for each session and how many sessions they will cover. Payments that you make for out-of-network counseling typically goes toward your yearly deductible. Please check with your insurance company to get specifics of your coverage.

How are out-of-network claims submitted?

If you have out-of-network benefits with your insurance company at the end of each month you will recive an emailed superbill for Insurance reimbursement. You as the policy holder will need to submit these superbills to your insurance plan. Please check with your insurance provider on how to process and submit these superbills on your behalf. If you do not receive a superbill at the end of the month, please reach out to our office so that we can manually generate one for you. If you’d like to know what a superbill is, you can check this explanation out. Once your insurance company processes the superbill, they will send you a check directly (usually within 4-6 weeks) to reimburse you for your out-of-pocket expenses.

Do you accept Medicare and/or Medicaid?

No, we are not in-network with either Medicare or Medicaid.

What is your cancellation policy?

We know that life happens. We also recognize the importance of keeping your regularly scheduled counseling appointments in order to keep moving forward with your goals. In light of both of these we ask that you email or call at least 24 hours prior to your appointment if you need to cancel. We charge a full session fee if you do not show up to your scheduled appointment and have not canceled prior to 24 hours before your appointment.

What happens in the event of inclement weather?

We actually have a process for this. Here it is:

Either the therapist or client reserves the right to request a phone or video session in the case of inclement weather. Not every client is going to be the right fit or comfortable with video or phone counseling. In those situations we will ask them to reschedule within the week. Clinicians will reasonably accommodate their clients’ schedules in order to see them within the week.

Clients are responsible to reach out to the main phone number or office@intuitivestrengths email address to let us know whether they are going to meet via phone or video or reschedule within the week. If we are not contacted by phone or email the 24-hour cancellation fee remains in effect.

If there is a State of Emergency we will reach out to you to determine if your appointment can happen through telephone, online or be rescheduled for an in-person session within the week. If none of these are possible we will reschedule to the next earliest date. You will not be charged for a missed session in the case of a State of Emergency.

Do you prescribe medication?

We DO NOT prescribe medication. That is the work of medical doctors, such as Psychiatrists and Family Physicians. We do collaborate with doctors as needed and can refer you to one if that is the best course of action for your treatment and goals.

What type of counseling do you offer?

We provide a range of clinical and non-clinical services to support the whole person-mind, body, and spirit.

We offer individual, marital, family, child, and adolescent counseling services provided by licensed mental health professionals. Each therapist brings a unique set of approaches to their work, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Trauma-Informed Therapy, and other evidence-based practices. To learn more about each clinician’s areas of focus and therapeutic methods, please visit our [Therapist Profiles] page.

In addition to our clinical team, we also offer pastoral care-a non-licensed, non-clinical service that provides spiritual guidance and support rooted in faith, scripture, and traditional pastoral care. Pastoral care may include prayer, spiritual formation, or reflection on life’s challenges through a theological lens. While not a form of mental health treatment, it can be a meaningful resource for those seeking encouragement, spiritual insight, or faith-based support-either alongside or separate from therapy.

Above all, we are committed to honoring what matters most to you. We are here to walk alongside you with compassion, care, and respect for your values, beliefs, and goals.

Do you provide psychological evaluations?

No. We provide biopsychosocial evaluations, which is completed at the beginning of therapy to assess the biological, psychological, social and spiritual factors that may be contributing to the issues that the client is looking to resolve. This type of assessment informs any possible diagnoses and treatment plan.

Do you provide faith-based counseling services?

For those who desire it, several of our licensed counselors are able to integrate faith-based perspectives into professional counseling sessions in a way that aligns with your beliefs and values.

In addition to our clinical team, we also offer the support of pastoral care, a non-licensed, non-clinical service offering spiritual guidance rooted in faith, scripture, and traditional pastoral care. This service may include spiritual formation, prayer, or exploration of life’s challenges through a theological lens. While pastoral counseling is not a form of mental health treatment, it can be a valuable resource for individuals seeking spiritual support or encouragement, either alongside or apart from therapy.

Most importantly, we respect what is most important to you. Whether you are coming from a Christian background, another faith tradition, or a secular worldview, we are here to walk alongside you with compassion, care, and respect for your goals.
